Mac has his first cold and fever. The nights have been a little rocky (gah! Nightmare!!!) but we’re all still here to tell about it: Swan Harbor Farm, Saturday. . .Following a night “sleeping” on Mac’s bedroom floor for me, the weatherman said the wind would be mild. The weatherman is once again sadly mistaken. . . No new birds.
Friday morning was brilliantly clear and brutally windy in Baltimore. Yet, if we don’t get outside for a while most days, Mac and I both start to get a little punchy. So I piled on pants and shirts and jackets and marched us to the Park for our usual walk and playground time. Mac has recently become very excited about
I can’t describe to you the ways the Eastern Shore makes my heart sing. I LOVE Baltimore. I love everything about Maryland actually. . .but if we’re being honest, lately, I feel most inspired, awake and alive, once we get to the other side of the Bridge. . .
Mac just recently learned how to pronounce “heart” and identify heart shapes. And he’s always asking me to draw him hearts whenever we get out his crayons. He’s so sweet. . .says “please” and “bless you” and “amen” Everything else sounds like filthy cursing. . .hilarious. I don’t want this kid getting any larger! Or Smarter! I can barely keep up now!
Rocky start. . .Mac’s teeth must be bothering him some more and he was awake from about 2 to 5AM this morning. . .but with the beautiful weather and a Raven’s win, things got much better.
Just a few quick snapshots of what we were up to earlier today. Weather here is beautiful! And? Mac hurled his sippy cup into the boat lake. . .Fortunately, we were able to fish it out. . .possibly at the expense of Chris’ favorite cashmere sweater! Wa, wa, wah. . .
The holiday hoopla finally ended yesterday with a trip to my Sister’s house. Mac got more goodies. Including a sled. . .which we tried to hide immediately upon our return home, but he kept asking for “Pull, Pull, Pull.” So yes, he’s been sledding in the house.
A few snapshots of what was going on at our place on a cold, gray, windy Friday afternoon. . .
