Mac has his first cold and fever. The nights have been a little rocky (gah! Nightmare!!!) but we’re all still here to tell about it: Swan Harbor Farm, Saturday. . .Following a night “sleeping” on Mac’s bedroom floor for me, the weatherman said the wind would be mild. Friday morning was brilliantly clear and brutally windy in Baltimore. Yet, if we don’t get outside for a while most days, Mac and I both start to get a little punchy. I can’t describe to you the ways the Eastern Shore makes my heart sing. I LOVE Baltimore. I love everything about Maryland actually. . .but if we’re being honest, lately, I feel most inspired, awake and alive, once we get to the other side of the Bridge. . .
Mac just recently learned how to pronounce “heart” and identify heart shapes. And he’s always asking me to draw him hearts whenever we get out his crayons. He’s so sweet. . .says “please” and “bless you” and “amen” Everything else sounds like filthy cursing. . .hilarious. I don’t want this kid getting any larger! Or Smarter! I can barely keep up now!
Rocky start. . .Mac’s teeth must be bothering him some more and he was awake from about 2 to 5AM this morning. . .but with the beautiful weather and a Raven’s win, things got much better.
Just a few quick snapshots of what we were up to earlier today. Weather here is beautiful! And? Mac hurled his sippy cup into the boat lake. . .Fortunately, we were able to fish it out. . .possibly at the expense of Chris’ favorite cashmere sweater! Wa, wa, wah. . .
The holiday hoopla finally ended yesterday with a trip to my Sister’s house. Mac got more goodies. Including a sled. . .which we tried to hide immediately upon our return home, but he kept asking for “Pull, Pull, Pull.” So yes, he’s been sledding in the house.
